On May 21, 2026, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required our public water system MacBee Special Utility District, PWS ID #23400012, to issue a Boil Water Notice (BWN) for the above area and to inform our customers that due to the distribution pressure dropping below 20 PSI, or an interruption in service, water from our system must be boiled before consumption. Our system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality. It has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling as of May 22, 2026. Line Improvement to FM1651, FM 47, and VZCR 2148.
Installing a 2” distribution line on VZCR 2423.
MacBee S.U.D has aging, small-diameter distribution lines on parts of FM 1651, FM 47, and VZCR 2148. There is also a newer 6” distribution line in these areas.
MacBee’s has hired Moore Construction to transfer existing meters to the larger lines. Customers can expect water service interruptions while their meters are connected to the larger line.
The smaller lines will be abandoned. This is necessary to provide our current customers with better pressure and volume. It will reduce the number of leaks repaired in these areas.
This project is set to start on May 25, 2026, weather permitting.
MacBee will also install a new 2” distribution line on VZCR 2423 to provide better volume to this area.
If you have any questions regarding this improvement project, please call the office.
Thank you.
